Jewelry Designer Alix Van Ness LaMotteVan Ness Designs was founded in 2001 by Alix Johnston, the current owner and Creative Director. Alix Johnston graduated from Trinity College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and worked as an independent designer in New York City, freelancing for various prominent designers, decorators and accessory manufacturers. In her spare time, Alix Johnston designed a few necklaces as gifts for her family and friends.

Combining semi-precious stones with beads, pendants and gold and silver accents, the necklaces were an immediate success. And thus a business was born.

The jewelry of Van Ness Designs is inspired by the raw and vivid colors of semi-precious stones and natural elements found in nature. The goal of Van Ness Designs is to create exquisite jewelry that is both versatile and affordable.

All purchases are securely processed by Paypal and your personal information will be used for the sole purpose of placing your order with Van Ness Designs. Credit card authorization and verification must be received before orders will beprocessed. When your order is processed, we will send you a shipping notification email. If an item is backordered, we will notify you of the expected delivery date.

Shipping:
All orders are shipped UPS ground and will arrive in approximately 2-5 business days. Shipping charges are calculated according to weight. Please note that we only ship within the United States and cannot ship to PO boxes. Please email us for information about international shipping. Sales Tax:
New York residents are required to pay sales tax on all purchases.

Return Policy:
Van Ness Designs will gladly provide a full refund within seven days of the purchase. Items may be returned by mail, fed ex, or UPS and merchandise must be returned in its original condition and with a receipt. We will also accept exchanges or provide a credit for any item (with a receipt) within 14 days of purchase.
